Having left school, I found myself employed in a mundane, office-based job. I realised – very quickly – it was not my future; I wanted to be mobile and busy out on sites. Fortunately, I found my first job in the air-conditioning industry later that same year, travelling the world with the mobile Formula 1 village and working in some of the most prestigious addresses for a Royal family.
In 2001 I became a father to the apple-of-my-eye, Amelia. From that moment I wanted to be more of a stay-at-home AC engineer. Regal approached me to cover their works along the South Coast, that was over 20 years ago, and I haven’t looked back!
After 12 years of installing systems from large VRVs to simple back-to-back split systems, servicing and maintenance of all AC products and humidifiers, I developed a thorough understanding of all disciplines and applications within our industry. Thanks to a co-worker noticing my potential, I was asked to join the office team as the Service manager. Now, 10 years into this role, I am involved in all aspects of the business from organising the engineers’ work schedules to designing systems and quoting new-build projects.
Away from work I enjoy holidaying with my fiancée, spending time with my family, especially Amelia and my Granddaughter, Avery, of whom I am immensely proud. A round of golf with my friends doesn’t go amiss…as long as the 19th is open!!
